Nikon just released a sweet looking new lens for landscape photography. I spend most of my time and money getting lenses that would take good portraits of course with the business I’m in. If I can eventually justify the $1300 I bet this lens would take amazing landscape and wide angle shots on a full frame camera like the D700. For portrait work you never want a lens higher than f2.8. This is an f4, but it’s not designed for really short depth of field like you want with a portrait lens.
